Top 5 mythical creatures?

Dude okay this is special interest territory on the extreme end.

5. Fae folk

4. Mermaids

3. Driders

2. Dragons

1. Nagas

I have OCs based on all of these, nagas in particular make up a good amount of them very much thanks to my special interest in snakes.

11 and 20 for music asks

11) what's a really popular song that you hate?

Baby shark. Fucking Baby shark. I work childcare do you have any idea how much that song is drilled into my frontal lobe??? The mere mention of it has me wanting a lobotomy. My feelings are visceral about this one.

20) how did you find out most of your music taste? did someone introduce you to it? did you rely on youtube's recommendation system? were you introduced to it as a kid by your family?

A mix of all 3. I used to watch a lot of AMVs on youtube and I'd latch onto a song in one and look it up. then listen to the rest. A lot of the stuff I tended towards related back to the stuff I'd hear my parents listening to though. Dad listens to a lot of death metal and mum would usually have MCR playing.

Artist asks; 13, 14, 15 :)

13) What music do you listen to while drawing?

My playlists are such a mess of completely random stuff. Lately during my streams I've been listening to the soundtracks for Portal 2 and Undertale but honestly I pick what to listen to based on what I'm drawing. Sometimes I won't even use a specific playlist I'll just queue up a bunch of stuff and go back to add more as I go. My main playlist has everything from Steven Universe songs to Video game fansongs (Natewantstobattle, Harry101UK, JTMusic, etc) to My chemical Romance and Green Day to Voltaire. I'll listen to pretty much anything.

14) What's your favorite thing to draw?

I have the most fun drawing expressions I think. I love really pushing the emotive limits of a character, making them emote with their whole body. A lot of my characters are autistic and I'll draw them flapping or stimming in some other way. I think the act of drawing those things in and of itself might be a stim for me.

15) What's your least favorite thing to draw?

There's nothing I genuinely dislike drawing, but if I had to pick something I like the least, it's hands. I don't think that's all that surprising though. It can be frustrating to get to look natural so it's my leastfavourite part of the process and it I think I can avoid it I probably will, but I kind of want to push myself to draw them more because getting them right can end up being really satisfying.

5, 9, 10, & 16 for the artist ask!

5) What's your favorite part of drawing? (Lineart, coloring, etc...)

It really depends on how I'm feeling and on the piece. I love the sketching process though. Usually I'll fill up a page iterating on a concept or idea. So if something has caught my attention or I''ve though of something that's what I'll enjoy most. Occassionally though I'm just looking for something to keep my hands busy and in that case it's gotta be colouring. It's very chill, especially with markers. I can just kind of zone out and listen to music.

9) What is the best aspect of your art style?

The hair. No matter how I think a particular drawing is coming out I'm always happy with the hair.

10) How did you develop your art style?

Mostly iteration. Little by little my style has evolved. Usually there's something specific I want to draw, a pose, a creature, an outfit etc, that I haven't gotten figured out yet. So I'll google that thing and pull up images. Sometimes just photos other times I'll use tutorials. Mark Crilley (youtube here) was a huge influence on me while starting out.

16) What do you draw when you're feeling sad/anxious?

I don't actually draw much when I'm feeling sad or anxious, I can't get myself through a drawing without wanting to scrap it. When I do though it's usually pen doodles. Mostly little low detail thumbnail doodles of little scenes.

for the song ask meme: Battleborn by The Killers

"Up against the wall There's something dying on the street When they knock you down You're gonna get back on your feet (No you can't stop now)"

This is definitely not something I'd have found on my own, but I really like it!

thanos and poggers!

thanos - three things that just irritate you

Hmm.... Okay this is a tough one but, in no particular order, I think I got it: 1) Loud screeching noises like a train coming to a stop. This is a physical irritation and painful in extreme circumstances. I used to commute by train and had to wear headphones to avoid meltdowns. 2) People who complain a lot about service workers. I can understand if a worker is explicitly rude but usually the complaints are things that can't be helped and the people making the complaints have never worked that kind of job. 3) People writing something harmless like a cartoon or game or other media off as childish or invaluable without bothering to try it. My dad does this with a lot of the things I enjoy and then complains that I don't talk to him enough

poggers - most recent awesome thing you did

Been sketching a lot of dragons lately. Got asked (forced) to do a logo for my Dad's friend/boss's business and he wants something styled after the Welsh dragon. I'm not happy about the circumstances of the situation but I managed to turn it on it's head by getting some practice and some sketches that I'm really proud of out of it. Said sketches are in my backlog of art to upload so they'll be coming on here in the near future.

I'll shoot you one back: Easeful

Easeful: What type of socks do you normally wear? Do they match? How long/short are they?

Usually I wear average length black socks with the days of the week on them. They do not match and neither foot ever has the correct day. On the rare occassion I do grab a matching pair and they're the correct day I celebrate, becaue clearly the stars have aligned. I also sometimes wear fluffy socks that happen to be the colours of the trans pride flag. They were bought for me by someone who has never seen the trans flag. If it's not to hot I'll wear them in my boots since I have awkwardly small feet that slip around otherwise.

Languor, Aesthete, Propensity!

Languor: Do you have trouble waking up in the morning? Is it hard for you to fall asleep?

Yes and Yes. My sleeping habits are atrocious. I can force myself up if I know I need to be awake for something, but usually I'll go lie down again once it's dealt with. I can and have been able to force myself up early consistently for work though, it just left me exhausted.

Aesthete: Do you prefer being outside or being inside?

Inside. I like the coziness of sitting inside while it's stormy out. Listening to the rain and rping with my partner.

Propensity: What's a quirk of yours that people find endearing? Do you like it?

I express excitement and interest very physically. Usually I flap my hands really fast or press my face and jaw. I also tend to bounce my legs.
