So out of the blue yesterday I got recommended a video on youtube that was a timelapse of this person doing hand embroidery. (Channel is Rose World and you can find it here. I found the videos really relaxing.)
I already really enjoy sewing so I thought I'd give it a try. Here's my first attempt at it. This was a lot of fun.

Change of circumstances. Putting the original text of this post under a read more. Things have turned around a bit and while there's still a bit of a bumpy road ahead, things are going to get better.

I recently found out that come September I will be losing my Universal Credit completely. This is already just barely enough to get by because of the way they work it out. I’ve been putting off making this post because I don’t feel comfortable just asking for help like this, but at this point I’m out of options.
I am nonbinary and autistic. Because of sensory issues I cannot work in certain environments or I will have regular meltdowns. I also have trouble with my sense of balance which can make certain tasks incredibly difficult.
I live with my parents, but they can’t support me financially. Best case scenario, my income will drop from £3000 to £1500 to cover me for a whole year, but I might not even get that.
I’m setting a goal on Kofi of £2000 as that should be enough to give me some stability and time to try and find consistent work. In the meantime I will keep updating you all on the situation both here and on Waterfall.
I don’t like just asking for money for nothing, so I will be taking commissions via my email [email protected] You can find all the information about my commissions here.
I’ll also be taking smaller sketch requests over on Kofi.

I'll be honest, I did not see myself having this finished yet. I've been really motivated though by the encouragement from all of you, so thank you so much.
Once this has gone up everywhere, I'm going to be adding a Commissions page to my blog so keep an eye out for that.
I'm also going to be making a post about my situation. I've been vocal about some of it but I think I need to pull it all together.

Did this to try out a new brand of alcohol basedmarkers I got on the cheap. 'CMYK Design works' They're not bad. the colours are really rich but they don't have a brush tip so blending can be tricky with the markers themselves. They work well as a base coat and in tandem with Copics and a set of these was only £10 so I'm happy with them as a find.

We are almost caught up now on the art backlog. This is actually only about a month old, done as practice with some new uniball fine liners I got myself for my twenty first birthday.

Getting a little closer to my newer stuff. This is from sometime aroung the end of last year and I am honestly still really pleased with it. I swear one day I'll go back and colour it.
