So it's been ages since I logged in here but I'm back after a couple months of settling into my new job and now feeling more secure in my life than I have for a long time.

Plus y'know, a resurgence of MCR has me very excited.

Anyway, how's everyone doing?

So out of the blue yesterday I got recommended a video on youtube that was a timelapse of this person doing hand embroidery. (Channel is Rose World and you can find it here. I found the videos really relaxing.)

I already really enjoy sewing so I thought I'd give it a try. Here's my first attempt at it. This was a lot of fun.

Finally got a haircut

Since I just got a haircut. Here’s my face for the first time!

I love the way this looks, it’s a little shorter than I can normally push to get it and I am living!

It always shocks me when people have interest lists that are like 30-40 media long, I hyperfixate and then scorch earth immediately after so at any point I have maybe 4 total interests

Do you do that thing where you pick up a new interest or rediscover an old one and one of the things that was on your current list just kinda falls away and you forget it exists until reminded?

So I've been kind of inactive the last few days. Been on the busy side. My schedule is clearing up again though for the most part after tomorrow so I should be back to posting more regularly.

I wanna get more art up on here and maybe start another big project like the dragon painting I did. Tempted to go traditional with the next piece though, use markers and pencils since I suck with paints.

Anyone got any ideas they'd like to see? Mythical creatures, setpieces etc. Looking to brainstorm something and have a concept put together and all ideas are welcome.

To all that’re NBLM, MLNB, and MLM, even questioning, that feel like they don’t fit anywhere or are conflicted due to their attraction, I think you folks are lovely, valid beings and I hope you’ll find your sense of belonging soon.

I’m in need of money for some food since I’ll only eat certain kinds than have anything available in the house, getting tired of thriving on cereal, sandwiches, and (sometimes) pizza n’ chips, and also want to feed my nephew who’s also especially picky as I am.

Like not to be That Guy who asks for things, especially if it’s something fixable, but I’d rather feel satisfied than go hungry to the point of irritation, anxiety, and getting sick.

I’m unemployed and probably plan living on disability in the future for personal reasons, despite being pressured to apply for a job. My dad’s using most of his money on a house for us he’s paying for to be built back in most of the family’s home country and grandpa. And even if he had the money, I don’t really wanna ask him for some because… terrible things have come to light, let’s just say (plus he gets tired from 12 hours on his job so he needs a lot of rest). Mom can’t work anymore due to her ataxia. My brother… Well, some of y’all know how siblings can be and I don’t wanna pester him to take me places and lend me money. He kinda scares me a little, too.

Not only that, but I also want to have some money for helping me move out of this hell hole, and to cover a few payments that I owe as well.

I have OCs based on all of these, nagas in particular make up a good amount of them very much thanks to my special interest in snakes.

It's about time I claim my title as the Math gay. I just listened to a video about manipulating RNG in Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door (video here) and it is all about how the game calculates RNG values based on the previous value with a formula and the values are in a sequence so you can reverse engineer it to find where in the sequence it is as well as the current values position in the sequence.

Because the RNG value increments once with a jump or twice for every character of text on screen each frame, you can actually take specific actions in order to rapidly increment your RNG value and make the specific number of steps to get from the original value to the necessary one.

This turned what was a roughly 1/46000 chance into something they could guarantee and only waste 12 frames. All to get 2 fights to have Hammerbros holding Mega Rush badges. But now this can be used for so much more.

This has made my little math nerd heart very happy. This tech absolutely fascinates me. I love how games fake randomness and the brilliant people who reverse engineer it and make it bend to their wills.

I'll be honest, I did not see myself having this finished yet. I've been really motivated though by the encouragement from all of you, so thank you so much.

Once this has gone up everywhere, I'm going to be adding a Commissions page to my blog so keep an eye out for that.

I'm also going to be making a post about my situation. I've been vocal about some of it but I think I need to pull it all together.

tbh I've suspected I might be autistic for a long time but I dont think I have the social aspects that everyone describes and with adhd and anxiety it's hard to tell what is symptoms of those vs what is potentially autism? Also I've just got enough going on as it is that I'm kind of too scared to really look into it ya know

i know what you mean, my family has both autism and adhd in it and the two get confused Often due to the amount of traits the two have in common. but my mom has autism without any of the social difficulty traits so like?? it's possible

i kinda think of autism spectrum traits as like. a salad bar. like it's the same wide array of different things but in different combos depending on the person u know?

it's also worth noting that a lot of autistic people are forced to learn social cues really early on, and many don't realize they're masking until they have a meltdown/shutdown. i hear this especially from autistic folks assigned female at birth - they're expected to know how to communicate with neurotypicals and punished if they can't, so they do, even though it can be really confusing and damaging. it's definitely hard to pick apart what falls into what categories, but it's good to be aware that not everybody has the same signs, and other signs can be difficult to recognize even for the person living them.

The different expectations placed on amab vs afab individuals are ridiculous honestly. It's made it so difficult for certain traits to get picked up on because they define certain traits as being specific to assigned sex at birth when they're not. My brother and I are both autistic and we share a lot of traits. The treatment we have each received has been vastly different. My brother is amab and was diagnosed at a very young age, because of this people underestimate his level of understanding. So many people I know refuse to listen to actual autistics and are still using functioning labels and brain age comparisons. This has kept my brother from learning a lot of skills because noone will let him try. I on the other hand am afab. The only reason I was diagnosed at all was because I went to a doctor about my depression and anxiety behind my parents' backs when I was 17. I went through school with no support and often got yelled at for not immediately knowing how to do certain "simple" tasks. This has hurt both of us massively but in very different ways. I know this isn't the situation for everyone, but I've heard so many stories reflective of this that it's hard not to start making connections.
